United Airlines posted a 1.7% revenue increase in Q2 2025, citing stronger demand, improved on-time performance, and easing “macroeconomic uncertainty”.

United Airlines permanently cancels two landline bus routes and offers refunds to passengers as part of capacity reduction strategy.

United Airlines is permanently axing U.S. domestic bus routes between airports in the coming weeks. The airline will be ending two routes later this summer and in the fall—its Denver to Fort Collins, Colorado, (DEN-FNL) and Newark, New Jersey, to Allentown, Pennsylvania, (EWR-ABE) Landline services.

Dozens of passengers were trapped on a United Airlines tarmac in Newark for approximately eight hours Monday night before their flight to Detroit was ultimately canceled.

Two United Airlines regional routes operated by Landline, the luxury bus operator that partners with airlines, will be cut.

Avelo Airlines will close its base at the (BUR) and end operations in the Los Angeles area, the carrier recently confirmed to Travel + Leisure. Operations will begin to slow down starting Aug. 12 when the airline will reduce to just one aircraft in the market,

Avelo Airlines will shut down its base at Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) by early December, ending a four-year presence at its West Coast hub. The airline cited challenging market conditions and limited financial returns in the region. It will instead target more profitable opportunities on the U.S. East Coast and in charter flying.

If United does resume flights then it wil become the first foreign airline to have brought forward its return to Israel. United has yet to make an official announcement on the resumption of Israel flights and it is not yet possible to book flights on the airline's website.
