Ford Motor Co. is delaying the launch of its next-generation electric commercial van and electric full-size pickup truck to 2028, the Dearborn automaker confirmed Thursday.

Ford Motor is delaying the launch of two next-generation electric vehicles as it shifts its focus to smaller and more affordable models, the company said on Thursday.

The delays come as Ford pivots its focus to a low-cost EV platform designed to underpin a handful of smaller models, starting with a small pickup in 2027.
