CLEVELAND — It's election day in Ohio -- and we're tracking all the updates throughout the day as voters hit the polls to decide a number of school levies, mayoral races in Cleveland, East Cleveland and Cleveland Heights, plus a variety of issues (like 1 and 2 in Summit County).

FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio -- It was a relatively quiet Election Day in Fairview Park. The only race came in Ward 5, where Bridget King (480 votes), who was appointed the new council president, defeated Jeffrey J. Szemplak (322 votes), according to final, unofficial results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Election Day this year, Nov. 4, 2025, falls on an off year for congressional elections. Virginia and New Jersey are hosting gubernatorial elections, while New York City is set to elect a new mayor in a must-watch race between Independent candidate Andrew Cuomo,
