The Utah Jazz will begin their Las Vegas Summer League action on Friday following a 3-0 start in Salt Lake City earlier this week, set to take on the Charlotte Hornets and fourth-overall pick Kon Knueppel.
The Utah Jazz have been called home by a number of NBA legends and great players throughout their 51 seasons in the Association. This list highlights the two players who have won a Defensive Player of the Year award while playing for the Jazz, Mark Eaton and Rudy Gobert, who each won multiple trophies.

Former NBA coach and general manager Frank Layden, who led the Utah Jazz to the playoffs for the first time in 1984, has died, the franchise announced. He was 93.
In 1984, Layden was named the NBA’s Coach of the Year and the NBA’s Executive of the Year as the Jazz finished first in the Midwest Division. That year, he drafted the NBA’s all-time assist and steal leader, John Stockton; Layden drafted the league’s third-place all-time scorer, Karl Malone, the very next year.
