WWE legend Austin, whose iconic WrestleMania 13 clash with Bret Hart was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at 'Mania 41, was set to be a special guest referee in a match between Drew McIntyre and Bron Breakker.

WWE originally had drastically different ideas of what WrestleMania 41 would look like for “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Travis Scott. WWE: Unreal premiered on Netflix today. The new docuseries gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of WWE creative.

WrestleMania 41 didn’t feature any ladder matches, but originally plans suggested a ladder match for each night of the show. On the Intercontinental Title side, Jey Uso would’ve defended against Damian Priest, Sami Zayn, Sheamus, Bronson Reed, and Ludwig Kaiser. Uso would’ve likely defeated Breakker on the Road to WrestleMania.
