A big part of blues is playing over a “shuffle” groove – a triplet-driven swing-eighths feel with a backbeat (accents on beats 2 and 4) – at various tempos. There are many great shuffle-based tunes.

This tune is a medium soul blues shuffle with my guitar, organ and drums. I wrote it for my teacher, friend and mentor Rodney Jones. It features a strong blues riff, good solos and a fun shout chorus.
