First responders were called to the scene of a child who went underwater in Pierce Township on Thursday afternoon.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A 2-year-old boy is in critical condition following being found at the bottom of a pool at a park near the Aldine area, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Sgt. Aaron Dossey was recognized for saving a drowning child while he was off-duty and on vacation earlier this year.
