NEW YORK — New York state on Friday agreed to pay $450,000 to Brittany Commisso, a former aide to Andrew Cuomo who accused him of groping and subjecting her to persistent sexual harassment on the job at the governor’s office.

Former gubernatorial aide Brittany Commisso settled her lawsuit related to what was seen by many as the most serious sexual harassment allegation against former Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo.

The state of New York has agreed to pay $450,000 to settle a lawsuit from an ex-aide to former Gov. Andrew Cuomo who alleged Cuomo sexually harassed and groped her while he was in office.
