The Steam and Epic Games Store versions of Horizon Zero Dawn have been pulled from the stores as Sony prepares the remaster. The GOG version is still available though.

Sony’s controversial strategy to require a PlayStation Network account for its PC games is now affecting Horizon Zero Dawn. On Friday, the PlayStation maker delisted the original Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition on Steam and the Epic Games Store to make way for its forthcoming replacement, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

Sony is under fire once again as it has made Horizon Zero Dawn inaccessible to a large number of PC players. The company delisted the original game on Steam four years after it launched on the platform in anticipation of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered PC players will be required to sign up via their PSN accounts to play the single-player adventure on Steam. As noted on Valve's PC storefront and spotted by IGN, just like other notable PlayStation-flavoured Steam releases such as Helldivers 2,
