A Tornado Warning is in effect for Lake and McHenry counties until 8:15 p.m., after severe storms capable of producing tornados were spotted near Hebron, moving east at 45 mph.
After days of rainy weather, Chicago is set to get hit with more severe storms Thursday, with storms potentially continuing into the weekend. Hail, damaging winds and tornadoes will all be possible. Here's the forecast.
While some rainfall has already reached the area Thursday morning, the best chance for severe weather will be from about 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Chicago, Milwaukee and several other Midwest metros are in the path of a dangerous severe weather threat that covers more than 45 million people across the region — with storms expected to begin firing over eastern Iowa by late Thursday morning before charging east.
The storms also create a slight chance for flooding and could produce damaging winds of up to 60 mph in the southwest suburbs, according to the National Weather Service.
