Local elections administrators across California say they have been preparing for once unthinkable threats to the midterms, from their own federal government.

The organization is calling March 10 the “cut-off date” for putting ballots in the mail to ensure they are received in time.

Palm Beach voters will decide the Group 1 Town Council seat March 10, with incumbent Lew Crampton facing John David Corey.

Eligible voters can still request an advance ballot by returning an application to the Sedgwick County Election Office by Tuesday, Feb. 24.
