Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hit out at France's President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday for saying that shipments of arms to Israel used in the conflict in Gaza should be stopped.

French President Emmanuel Macron has called for a halt to arms shipments to Israel for use in Gaza. Speaking to French broadcaster France Inter on Saturday, Macron said finding a “political solution” to Israel’s nearly year-long war on Gaza is a “priority” and that an arms embargo should be a key part of these efforts.

Netanyahu rebukes Western leaders for advocating an arms embargo on Israel, accusing them of undermining Israel’s defense while Iran continues to arm its proxies across the Middle East.
