National organizers of the “Good Trouble Lives On” protests said more than 1,500 events took place across the country Thursday, pushing back against what they described as the Trump administration’s “most brazen rollback of civil rights in generations.
More than 200 rallied in Fort Myers to honor John Lewis and protest what they see as threats to civil and human rights.
Republican Chair Keith Brin said in a text Friday that Trump’s legislation and actions were part of the fulfillment of campaign promises.
