Congress MP Kumari Selja told NDTV today she is confident her party will cross 60 seats in Haryana. An aggregate of seven exit polls have indicated the Congress will win 55 of Haryana's 90 seats - comfortably ahead of the halfway mark of 45.

All major pollsters have predicted a Congress sweep in Haryana with poll of exit polls forecasting 55 seats out of the 90-seat assembly.

Kumari Selja, a prominent Dalit leader and a five-time Congress MP, has recently hinted that her name would be among those considered for the chief minister's post in Haryana.

According to Axis My India exit poll projections, Congress is likely to win 59 seats in the state, while the BJP could win 23 seats. Other parties may win 8 seats.

India's ruling party is projected to have lost two key provincial elections to the main opposition Congress party and its allies, exit polls showed, suggesting another setback after the party fared poorly in national elections.
