But Men's Journal confirmed the statement was fake after sending a media inquiry the day the kiss cam video surfaced, July 17, 2025. "This is not a real statement," the company's Taylor Jones responded to the inquiry. Another fake "statement," appearing to come from Astronomer's own X account, was debunked by former CEO Ry Walker.
