Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders made his NFL debut against the Carolina Panthers in the Browns preseason opener. Millions tuned in to see the former Colorado Buffaloes star in action and it set a 10-year ratings high for a preseason game.

Sanders started for Cleveland and played into the third quarter before he was eventually replaced by Tyler Huntley. The first-year passer finished 14-of-23 for 138 yards and two touchdowns without tossing an interception. He also rushed for 19 yards on four attempts.
