It was raining Friday in Wasington, D.C. so Cherokee National Treasure Robert Lewis used it as a basis for telling a crowd at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian the origin of thunder and lightning. Lewis, a master storyteller, has more than 100 Cherokee origin stories, some never recorded but passed down from elders. Lewis says it's important to share them so that younger generations will always know the same stories told by our Cherokee ancestors. | Cherokee Nation
