And by doing so, we also get no confirmation from other adults of being treated abusively and therefore all feelings of upset or anger go underground. In adulthood, we are safe to cultivate justified resentment that in childhood would have gotten us abandoned again. The way out is through the feelings. #codependency | Patrick Teahan
